Please consult our availability calendar before contacting us. I've had lots of requests for periods where we're unavailable and I hate to decline so many people!

We're currently in BC and will head east towards Ontario from the end of May 2024. If you're east of Ontario, we will likely be out that way from July to August. September to October we will be back in Kelowna/Okanagan.

We’re an early 30s professional couple from Tasmania, Australia. Maddy is a dual Australian-Canadian citizen and works in climate change policy. Brad is a Tasmanian Aboriginal and works in community services as a counsellor (currently a smoking cessation counsellor, so naturally we don’t smoke!)

We have a deep love of animals, having both grown up with cats, dogs, birds and horses – between us we’ve had four cats, four dogs, a sun conure, multiple budgies and chickens, and 15 horses! We don’t have our own fur baby yet, as we’re still travelling often and would hate to leave a pet for too long! We are the go-to pet and house sitters for friends and family, and have recently branched out to offer our services on public sites. We’re most comfortable with cats and dogs and have experience with many breeds, temperaments and ages, including those with special conditions.

We love to travel, hike, camp and go snowboarding, but love to come home to our own house to read a good book, cook up a storm in the kitchen and entertain guests we’ve met on our travels.

As homeowners we’re very conscious of the effort and care needed to maintain a home. Maddy is a certified clean freak and Brad has developed handy maintenance skills in his workshop. Together, we’ve landscaped our 1200 square metre property from a bare paddock to a native bushland and enjoy maintaining our diverse plant species, composting and adding the odd new bit of hard landscaping.

We’re familiar with the ongoing maintenance of pools, hot tubs, wood heaters, chicken coups and composting/worm farms

Happy to provide pet/house sitting or professional/character references on request. We’re fully COVID-19 vaccinated and residing in Canada as a citizen and International Experience Canada visa holder.
