Owner away?... We'll sit and stay!

Greetings Furr-iends & Paw-rents,

We are Emerald and Breanna, the 'Canadian Critter Sitters' (eh?!) — a nomadic female couple traversing this captivating and vibrant big blue dot we call home! We are full-time sitters on TrustedHouseSitters and HouseSittersCanada and have a fervent passion for all things animals, nature, and adventure! As we are new to this site, we are happy to provide references from our other sits.

We are digital nomads in our late 30's/early 40’s. Working remotely allows us the freedom and flexibility to travel where the tides take us. That said, we are willing to come to you wherever you may roam, especially for longer-term sits!

We have been house-sitting for several years, and caring for animals all our lives — Breanna the Author and 'Crazy Cat Lady,' and Emerald the Musician and 'Chihuahua Whisperer.' We've been all over the world and spent some time in some pretty humbling and exotic places:

Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, China, Israel, Jordan, Palestine, Portugal, Greece, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Bahamas, Mexico, Dominican Republic... to name a few!

When living in Mexico in 2022, we adopted a female Rat Terrier puppy named "Mila" who is house-trained, well-mannered, and gets along famously with other dogs and cats. This is something to consider when choosing us to house-sit for you as she will be coming along for the adventure!

We believe that animals deserve the utmost respect and care and we would love so much to help you out, so give us a shout! ♡

Experience: We have cared for furry, finned, and feathered friends most of our lives (Felines, Canines, Birds, and Aquarium Fish).

We have house and pet-sat all over the world for many years. We know what goes into maintaining a home and caring for loved ones, as we have both been pet/homeowners ourselves. Prior to joining HSC, Breanna and I are current members of the THS community, as well as sitting for friends and family. References? Yes, we've got rufferences! We are 5 star vetted and verified for your peace of mind.

✤ Over 15+ years experience working with many different breeds and ages of dogs/cats, rescue animals (including our own), using positive reinforcement and a variety of training methods.
✤ Adept at assessing root causes of behavioral problems, stressors, and social anxieties in our fur-friends.
✤ Competent in introducing pets to one another to minimize and reduce stress.
✤ Emerald has experience in landscaping, snow removal, lawn/garden care, and pool/hot-tub maintenance in case you require general upkeep of the property.
✤ Breanna's super powers include her being a Certified Yoga Instructor/Holistic Health Practitioner in case your pet needs some Zen pet yoga. Downward Dog anyone?!... Woof!
✤ We both have our driver's licenses with clean abstracts (We have operated several HO's vehicles during sits problem-free).
✤ We are light, humorous, and playful people and we face all challenges head on as a couple (We are the Yin to each others Yang). You can have the confidence knowing that we are strong, conscientious, and capable women.
✤ We do this full-time and uphold absolute discernment (We are interviewing you as much as you are interviewing us. If it's a good match, the energy never lies).
