For the 17 years, in my role as facility manager, I was responsible for staffing and upkeep of an 80,000 square foot storage facility. In addition, I am a certified resident manager with experience managing a large apartment building. My wife, Pauline, was a senior manager with the BC government for 34 years.

We retired on March 28, 2024. We are non-smokers and non-drinkers in good health. We spent the first 5 months after retiring travelling across Canada and back with our travel trailer. As we contemplate our next steps, and where to ultimately settle down, we decided to house sit.

This was our first time using a House Sitter and were slightly anxious. Pauline and Bruce were able to visit our home a week before we left, to introduce themselves to us and our dog. This, along with great communication, including pictures of the dog at parks, etc., put us at ease throughout the entire trip.
