Hello,

We are retired homeowners in Gatineau, QC and cared for our five cats over the last 20 years. We now have one cat. We started pet sitting in 2023 for travel and have had sits in Kingston, Godfrey, Barrie, Goderich, and Orleans. We spent about 60 days in the UK on 3 different pet sites. We have experience with dogs, cats and fish.

We are interested in visiting different places and Housesitters Canada provides an outlet for us to do that while keeping your pet company.

We require a house sit with at least a queen size bed or two separate beds and an outside electric outlet to charge our electric car.

Sharon went above and beyond our expectations in all categories . She came to meet us and the dogs before the sit,, so that we would feel more comfortable . Her communication and kindness were excellent . We could see the dogs were very comfortable . She sent pictures , and kept us updated . The house was shining , and all the garden work was done when we arrived home . We certainly hope she will come back . She is excellent ,and such a warm nice person .

Sharon is a lovely lady who looked after our fur babies and our lake home as if they were her own. We returned to a clean orderly home and a bunch of happy animals. Sharon even changed the bedding in our bed so we have fresh sheets at our return! Sharon communicated with us when needed and sent us a few pictures. It was a pleasure to meet Sharon and Gilles. They are very warm and friendly people. I instantly felt at ease after meeting them and knew that my cat Lucy was in caring hands whilst I was so far away. We were in contact regularly and I returned home to a happy cat and well cared for home. Sharon and Gilles are the absolute best. They took better care of my house than I can with two young ones. They even took the initiative to fix things up (loose toilet seat, remove dead trees, and more) and my cat wanted for nothing. It was a privilege to have found people of this caliber.
