I'm James, a retired Disney Cast Member turned full-time traveler and passionate animal caregiver. Retirement has given me the wonderful opportunity to connect with animals around the world, a joy that has brought immense fulfillment to my life.

**Caring for pets has enriched my life beyond my expectations, bringing me joy and a sense of purpose. I truly wish I had unlimited finances so that I wouldn’t need to charge for my house and pet sitting services. However, as a retired person, living on a fixed monthly pension can be challenging. Charging a reasonable fee allows me to cover travel and living expenses while continuing to provide the attentive care your home and beloved pets deserve.


My love for animals deepened after losing my beloved cat, Mully, in July 2020. Mully was more than a companion; he enriched my life and brought together a community of furry friends in the neighborhood. Even after his passing, Mully’s friends continued to visit, offering comfort and companionship in their own unique ways.

Over the years, I’ve cared for a variety of animals, from a neighbor’s 22-year-old turtle to a mother raccoon and her seven curious offspring. I’ve even trained squirrels—a testament to my patience and connection with creatures of all sizes. Additionally, I have regular clients with farms and bring hands-on experience caring for animals on both large and hobby farms. Whether it’s feeding livestock, tending to daily routines, or ensuring the smooth running of a farmstead, I’m well-versed in the needs of farm animals and their environments.

Animals seem to naturally gravitate toward me, and the bonds I form with them are incredibly meaningful. Friends often tease me about the impeccable state of my home, joking that it doesn’t look lived in. As a non-smoker and non-drinker with a preference for quiet solitude, I assure you that your home and pets will be in capable, caring hands.

I am truly grateful for the chance to be considered as the caretaker for your cherished animals and home. The idea of becoming a part of your pets' lives and ensuring their happiness and well-being brings me immense joy.

James shared that he doesn't tend to to house sits for shorter periods of time, so we are grateful that he made an exception for us. It was obvious from our initial correspondence that he simply loves being with animals. The weather wasn't fantastic during his stay, lots of rain and even a three hour power outage, but he took all of this in stride. James was really great and my dog immediately bonded with him. She had just gotten stitches in her ear and was in a cone the day before the sit started, but James was patient and flexible enough to handle the unforeseen complication and he took great care of her. I'm grateful to James for that! This is the third time my pup, Twix, has fallen in love with James. When I return home, before James leaves, Twix ignores me and sleeps in James' room! For me, that's the true demonstration of a great pet sitter - my pet's highest recommendation. I was gone for an extended period of time and left my 110+ year old home and four cats (ranging in age from 2-16) in James' care. I could tell upon my return that the kitties were well cared for in my absence as they were calm, content, and in good physical condition. It was also very nice to come home to a clean house! By far, the best house sitter I have ever seen. James has an empathy for animals that is unlike anyone else. Excellent communication before and during the sit. James kept the house cleaner than I do and watered all the plants. He loved Twix as much as I do and walked him several times a day. James will take care of your pets and home better than you do yourself! Highest recommendation.
