Annette & Steve

I am a realtor (Annette) and my husband (Steve) is a (mostly) retired carpenter. We have been married 30 years with 1 daughter who got married (May 2023) to an "interning" doctor and moved from Vancouver, BC to Halifax, Nova Scotia for the next few years. So our plan is to visit often and are hoping to pet/housesit while we visit. We have house/pet sat for many years now, mostly in California near LA to the same house where we have grown very attached to a pair of goldendoogle dogs. We have also pet sat in other locations, both dogs and cats. We now want to expand our "horizons" and move onto other locations. Having pet sat many times over, we know what its like to leave your pets in the care of strangers but we promise to treat them as we do our own, giving them lots of love and attention however that looks like in each individual situation, so hopefully we will not be "strangers" for long! We own our own home so know all that goes along with maintenance should things arise (& of course my husband being a carpenter is very handy should things arise). We recently lost our beautiful Bernese Mt dog, (a few days before Christmas), she was 11.5 years old. Very difficult! . So Im hoping to get my "dog fix" by pet sitting until we feel its the right time to get another. We still have our very loveable 2 yr old cat...who mostly keeps to herself, but still makes the house less "empty". Would be happy to chat with you, zoom or whatever is most convenient!
