Lucy & Finlay

Hi, we are Lucy and Finlay. We are two 30-year-olds who moved to Canada from Scotland at the start of October 2024. We have worn our Biologist and Engineer hats for the last 3 years in Scotland but were ready for a change and to see all Canada has to offer. Although new to 'Housesitters Canada', we are experienced house/pet sitters. Whilst in New Zealand we enjoyed using 'Pawshake' to provide this service (see photos for reviews) and would absolutely love meeting lots of new people and pets in Canada so if we can assist in any way, we gladly will.

We have travelled a lot including cycling across Europe - from the French coast to the Romanian coast, backpacking in South America and living and working in New Zealand. We are energetic and love being in the outdoors. We have always enjoyed the company of animals and loved meeting furry friends along the way.

We are clean and tidy people who will treat your home with the utmost care and respect. We appreciate that leaving your beloved home and pet(s) can be difficult but rest assured both will be safe in our hands and well looked after. We are non-smokers.

Which Animals can we look after?

We really enjoy looking after animals. Growing up at home Lucy not only had a dog and cat but also a snake, fish, gerbil and guinea pigs at various times. Finlay spent holidays helping on his family farm (beef, sheep and chickens, as well as working dogs). Whilst in Canada, we have spent over a month working on a buffalo ranch, helping around the farm as well as caring for the rabbits, chickens and cat so we would love to offer any assistance we can to your pet, whatever shape or size! We also have experience with rescue animals and understand that each animal has their own specific needs. We will do whatever is required to help make you and your pet comfortable with us.
