Hi there

My name is Sue and I am an Australian writer and researcher currently transforming my doctoral research into a book ... (all about the sea and taking better care of it). In April, I commenced a research fellowship at the University of British Columbia. Working from home most of the time means that I can do this from any location.

I have been housesitting since 2018 (excluding the Covid years!), while completing my doctorate. I have lots of great references available. Housesitting is a fabulous way to connect with people, help each other out, and take care of the furry ones–I love it.

I have experience taking care of a wide range of pets, mostly dogs and cats, and including those that need a bit of extra love and care.

I am mature, professional, non-smoker, love a neat house, and would take very good care of your house and garden.

We had Sue house and dog sit for us over Christmas and she was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Her communication leading into the sit was exceptional and she cared for our home and our pup like they were her own. We arrived home after a long journey to a house cleaner than we left, a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a dog that was calm and content. Sue was a terrific house sitter. We were extremely lucky to find her. She stayed at our place for six months and looked after the house pets and garden beautifully. She looked after the mail and even supervised a few tradesmen doing house repairs. Sue is a highly intelligent and extremely nice person. I couldn't recommend her more highly.
