Through my decade-long involvement with the 4-H program, I have learned about livestock husbandry through workshops, textbooks, and first-hand experiences. As a teenager, I kept a flock of 13 wool sheep, raised two pigs for market (one of which won reserve champion market hog at the PNE in 2017), and have kept pet rabbits and a guinea pig. My involvement in the 4-H program meant that I got to work with many more animals than just sheep and swine: I have experience handling steers, goats, chickens, and horses, too.
25, Tour Guide (Seasonal)
Hi! My name is Emily!
I am a seasonal tour guide in the adventure tourism sector looking to cozy up with your fur-baby, keep your plants alive and thriving, and make sure you come home to clean and cared for house!
As a 4-H alumnus, I have over 10 years of experience training, handling, and showing a variety of livestock, including sheep, swine, steers, goats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs. I also have experience riding and grooming horses.
Of course, I adore cats and dogs, too! There's no sweeter feeling than earning the respect of an aloof housecat; nor is there a purer joy than exploring nature with a canine companion. And though my green thumb is not extensive, I know how to keep a houseplant happy!
I travel a lot for work, so living out of a suitcase is second nature to me. I am an organized, tidy person, and endeavour to maintain a clean and tranquil space wherever I am.
Thank you for viewing my page, and happy travels!!
