Why I am pursuing this adventure?

Time away for myself, to think, to write, focus on wellbeing; and the best company to keep is a well loved pet.

I have spent the past few years (since 2019) supporting and transitioning the elder generation in my family, through multiple downsizing efforts as-well as navigating the health care system on their behalf.

My children are now grown, but still at home for work and continuing education. My little house is feeling a bit crowded, so its a good time to make space for new adventures for myself.

Working remotely, I am a writer and communication specialist, my office is anywhere a strong wifi signal exists.

This past year, I have done a number of highly enjoyable pet sits locally, varying between 10 days to 6 weeks, (most recent review found below).

These have become quiet writing retreats, that bring me tremendous joy, there is such a warmth in the simplicity of taking time for myself while providing cozy care and nurturing to these lovely pets, and peace of mind to their owners.

Farm raised, in rural Alberta, I have been a large animal and pet owner my entire life. I deeply care and have good practical knowledge of animal health and wellness. If your pet requires special care or medication, you can have confidence in my meticulous attention to such details.

I have my own transportation, I am extremely neat, non-smoker and I love the outdoors.

I have just started training for number of trail races - so if you have dogs with abundant energy, a slow paced runner like me would welcome their companionship, as I build my own strength and endurance.

Obviously smaller or elder dogs, walking at their pace multiple times a day, is happily accommodated as well.

I adore cats and dogs alike, my own coexist quite peacefully, animals always seem to take to me immediately.

Will happily update you as frequently as requested and send you cute photos of your pet, so you can feel secure that your fur-family is content in my care.
