Frederique & Vincent

Canadians, originally French (from France, Champagne region), we spent 5 years in Toronto, ON before traveling around the USA for 6 months until July 2019, when we decided to stay in Western Canada.

We are willing to take care of your house and pets (spiders excluded :-) sorry) while you are away or unable to do it yourselves.

Aside from being a nice way to exchange services (taking care of someone's house and favorite companions vs/ accommodation), it is also a great way to meet with new animal friends, to make sure being separated from their owners is not too hard for them, as well as to see what life is locally.

If this is of interest to you, I am taking a break from Finance and my husband, Vincent, used to work in the music industry. We are non smokers, we have our own car, I work from home, Vincent (my husband) can operate an ATV, snow blower, tractor etc., we know how to do the maintenance on a hot tub, we do not watch TV (but only Netflix for which we have our own account), we do not have any pets of our own, we can use wood stoves, we are BC residents (based in the Columbia Valley), our daughters were born in 2005 (Marie) and 2009 (Lisa). These are usually the questions we get from owners but feel free to ask more if needed.

The main basis of housesitting is obviously (for us) to ensure that the pets are safe and happy, as well as the house is securely locked and correctly maintained in the owners' absence.
But in addition, we can offer music or French lessons, as well as cook for you before you leave on vacation or simply a lift to the airport if needed. Always good to know :-)
