Hi there!

I am a mature, independent, introvert who enjoys the companionship of animals & plants. I have simple needs and am happiest living a quiet existence in a peaceful place.

I am experienced in caring for plants and critters of all kinds, and enjoy keeping a home clean. I particularly like tackling things that you may have been avoiding for a while or just haven't found time to get around to yet (helloooo dusty baseboards!).

I own a condo in Calgary, AB and it's filled with plants. I don't have a garden but have volunteered on many hobby farms and homesteads over the years. I've been a proud Mom to many fur-babies, and am also experienced with farm animals, including horses, pigs, chickens, sheep, llamas and goats. Above all, I learn quickly and always up for learning new skills.

In terms of personality, I am quiet, calm and detail-oriented. I enjoy going on walks, tending to plants & animals, reading, doing yoga and coming up with new projects to take on.

I run a small bookkeeping business and do all my work remotely. A reliable internet connection and a space to set up my office are all I need.

My goal when it comes to house-sitting is two-fold:

1) To help you feel at ease while you are away, knowing your pets, plants and property will be lovingly and respectfully taken care of

2) To immerse myself in rural/remote places and experience what life is like in your "neck of the woods".

Danielle is amazing. She took such great care of our house and animals and checked in with us often - sending us pictures and updates and asking questions when she needed to. We very much appreciated her excellent communication as it was our first time leaving our farm to a sitter and we were so comfortable with her. This was our 1st time to use House Sitters for Luna, our mini schnauzer. Danielle responded quickly to our initial inquiry & a zoom call confirmed it was a good fit. Simply put, Danielle was amazing. The day we left, Luna pined for us for about 8 hrs & then fell in love with Danielle. Danielle is a stellar house sitter. She is friendly and very capable. Her communication is clear and prompt. Our house was clean and tidy when we returnedur, and our plants were happier than when we left! She contacted us when she had questions and responded quickly when we texted. She was respectful of our space and went far out of her way to love and nurse our plants. We highly recommend Danielle and would invite her back in a jiffy!
