We are a retired couple in our 60's who loves to travel and we are hoping that house sitting will allow us to experience more of Canada, US and the world. We have completed a few assignments so far. Most recently in 2023, we completed a 4 weeks house and dog sit in beautiful Sunshine Coast, BC. Prior to that a 5 weeks house and dogs sit in Pender Island, BC. and in 2019, a three weeks assignment in Victoria, BC, looking after a house and a garden. In 2018 we took care of a house and a dog for 3 weeks in Squamish, BC. We enjoyed every one of them and had wonderful experience and we are looking forward to more in the future. Fall of 2021 we spent 8 days house sitting our nieces' house in Port Moody and their 3 yrs old Bernedoodle. As well, we have been looking after our neighbor's house and their cat, while they were away on vacation.
We're a mature, considerate, responsible, tidy, and reliable couple. Neither one of us smokes. We are active and enjoy walking, hiking, biking, golfing, and sight seeing. We have always been homeowners, and would treat your home as if it were our own. We are very comfortable with doing light weeding, having the lawn cut, watering plants, and looking after small pets.
Although we have no pets currently we have had cats, bunnies, hamsters, fish, and birds when our kids were young.
We would love to take care of your home and/or pet while you are away.

Vera and Bob are AMAZING - in all caps! They sent us regular updates with pictures (and funny stories) of pup. When we came home, pup was very happy and cuddled up with them. She loved their routines. They kept indoor and outdoor plants alive and happy (even new tomato seedlings) during a heat wave. Thank Bob & Vera for doing such a fine job of looking after our GIRLS & the house while we were away. I'm sure the house is looking better after you were here than when you arrived, and we heard many good things about you and your exploits around Pender from the Monday Morning dog club at the Spit..... Vera and Bob were ideal house sitters. They took excellent care of our house, and left it spotless at the end of the sit. I recommend them very highly.
