Kirsty & Mack

Hello! We are Kirsty & my husband Mack, a couple of pet lovers who have 40+ years of dog ownership under our belts. I am a certified Guide Dog trainer (under Assistance Dogs International) who has worked with both the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) and Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides. At CNIB I was a Puppy Raising Supervisor working with volunteer puppy raisers, and I am a Hearing Dog Guide Instructor with the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, training dogs to work for Canadians who are deaf or hard of hearing. Prior to my work in the Service Dog industry, I apprenticed under a positive reinforcement focused trainer in dog agility, worked as a dog walker, kennel attendant and pet-dog trainer. With Loyal Rescue we fostered ten dogs over several years, working on house training, leash walking and basic obedience, so that they could be matched with their forever homes – with 100% success! My husband works from home as the CEO of small nonprofit organization. We are looking to meet new furry friends and explore the world and would love the opportunity to pet-sit for you!
