Hello there and welcome to our profile! With more than 70 housesits across four continents we have dealt with a variety of housesits and pets over the last ten years. We are home owners ourselves and have owned a number of furry friends during our 30 years of marriage. Our professional backgrounds (Tony is an accountant and we have owned our own businesses) has allowed us to develop and perfect the skills necessary to be the custodians of your most treasured possessions. We feel honoured to be invited into the lives of our owners and their pets and their trust in us is never taken lightly or for granted.

Although we now travel as a way of life (both of our children have now spread their wings), we separate our travel experiences from our house-sitting work. When we house-sit we love to be home to cook, read and relax with our new pet friends. Both non smokers we love to keep a well cared for home exactly the way you leave it including fresh sheets on the bed we use upon your return. There is just one added touch...as you've often been travelling yourself we like to make sure you have a meal ready to use when you get home. House-sitting allows us to indulge our passion for travel and pets while providing a valuable service. We have made many friends through house-sitting, not just owner's but their friends in the community, and we hope to continue doing so for some years to come. Caring for a home rather than vacationing in an impersonal, crowded resort allows us to experience being part of a community, bringing a whole new meaning to "feeling at home" For us it's a privilege to be entrusted with others precious possessions something we never lose sight of and certainly never take for granted. House sitting is an incredibly satisfying lifestyle choice. We simply enjoy being the custodians of your home allowing you complete peace of mind and guilt free travel.

As homeowners ourselves we have the practical experience of looking after a property and dealing with any issue which may arise. Our considerable experience as employers and managers helps us in managing both domestic staff and maintenance personnel. Caring for different pets over the years, which have included dogs, cats, turtles, birds and reptiles, has given us invaluable experience, knowledge and utter joy. We're experienced in city, rural and country living...small, medium and large properties. We are experienced in pool cleaning and maintenance having owned our own pool in more than one of our homes. As jewellery store owners we were custodians of some of our clients most valuable possessions, and we bring this responsibility to our house-sitting duties. Tony's background as an accountant helps ensure we practice the principles of privacy and confidentiality in all our owner dealings.

As we are both dual passport holders of New Zealand and EU passports there is never any issue with our travel rights or time frame. Communication is never an issue...we ensure owner's can be confident of our arrival and we are happy to contact you as often as you need during your stay to provide you with peace of mind. Whether you are a first time sit-seeker or have done it numerous times before you want the certainty and confidence of knowing that your home and pets are well cared for. We occasionally face logistical challenges trying to accommodate the requests we receive together with our confirmed assignments as some of our house-sits don't come through this website, so prompt replies and timely communication is always appreciated.
