I love adventure and look forward to this next chapter of my life, as
I have recently retired. I love to go where the wind blows and I'm grateful for all that is set before me.
I have been a home owner for 45+ years and know how important it is to maintain the investment. I have great attention to detail and I've gained much knowledge about home maintenance over the years.
My 20 years as a dairy farmer has given me a wealth of knowledge for detecting the wellness of an animal and I am sensitive to their needs. I've raised pigs, goats and a horse for fun. There were many dogs and cats on the farm as well as in my home over that time.
I have had two rescue cats in the past and I am sensitive to thier needs and would be able to give a pill or shot if needed.
I have house sat several times for friends and family but this is the first time I have registered with a house sitting platform.
I am open to crossing the country for that next adventure and look forward to wherever that may be. I have my own vehicle and will ensure to be available at least a day before house sits unless a pre meet has already happened.

Shirley is a top-notch choice if you're going away. She house sat for me for 2-1/2 weeks, taking care of my home, garden, and most importantly, my cat. Our communication, from the start, was excellent. I came back to a house that just may have been cleaner than when I left. Shirley took wonderful care of our two dogs Riley and Tasha who were very happy to see her again for another housesit as were we. Shirley kept us well informed on an almost daily basis of events occurring around the house and sent us many photos including several of just how well our two dogs were managing. Shirley was a great cat sitter for us! Right from the get-go, her communication was excellent, which helped put our minds at ease. She made an effort to get to know our cat, Elska, so as to meet her needs. And while we were away, she sent pictures, and was prompt in replying. Shirley was exemplary in every way. The house was left spotless and Fezzi our cat is healthy and happy. Things in the greenhouse look great, Shirley was excellent in keeping in touch and communications - she acted quickly when asked to look for things and kept us up to date with mail, cat and house. It was a pleasure having Shirley stay in our home.

Shirley is a 20 out of 10 Caring , detail oriented , responsible, kind . House was kept perfect, cats were smothered in love and unexpected watering of gardens, rows of lavender was done too! ( we had a very dry fall ) chickens were fat and sassy and Shirley is my new friend ! ♥️

Excellent. Shirley certainly spoiled His Majesty. He wanted at least two walks a day when I got home! The house was left cleaner than when I left. The cat was happy. Everything was good. Would definitely use Shirley again. Very trustworthy.

Shirley was a wonderful pet parent while I was away. I came back to a spotless house and happy critters. She had to do extra watering outside due to the heat wave and everything looks green and healthy. Good communication with pictures of my fur babies. I can't say enough about Shirley! She was ready and willing to brave the extreme weather, road closures, flooding and mudslides BC is currently experiencing to ensure our boy was safe and cared for. Thankfully we were able to cancel the house sit and everyone remained safe. Even though the house sit didn't happen, we will absolutely be reaching out to Shirley for any future house/dog sitting.
