Peter & Dicky

We are a retired couple, two kids, now with families, located south of the border. We have lived in BC the majority of our lives, in the Kootenays, presently in Nelson.
I was an electrician, working in construction and utility, Dicky had a variety of jobs, everything from chambermaid to retail, mainly she was a stay at home mom.
At the present time we have no pets, although they were a big part of our lives. My wife could definitely be considered a cat lady, loves taking care of them. I probably had a bit better relationship with our dogs, however, the reason for no pets was to be able to travel with less issues.
Having lived in the interior but often travelled to and vacationed at the coast, we have considered moving down there somewhere and at this time, we are hoping for an opportunity to spend time at the coast.
Our intent would be to experience to worst time - winter - to see if both of us might be happy with a choice like that. Day trips and the occasional visit to friends we have there would be necessary but taking care of a house/yard/ pet would be just fine.
We are considering the November to March/April period, if we could line up several sitting proposals, that would be ok but would rather look for a minimum of a month stay per location.
No, we have never done this before but then again, we are not rookies. Cheers
