Trudy & Edward

Hi there….
We are two active and healthy retirees. We love spending time outdoors…walking, kayaking (Ed), reading, movies and listening to music. We are non-smokers but we do enjoy the occasional glass of wine or beer.
We have travelled to many parts of the world. Trudy worked as a travel consultant, organizing, arranging, and together with Ed lead and hosted these groups to many parts of Europe, Jordan, Israel, Africa etc.
Ed worked in the trucking industry as an owner/operator for 38 years and drove some 8 000 000 kilometers accident free. This allowed him to travel across Canada and the US. He loved being his own boss and the challenges of driving in all weather and in new places. He particularly loved driving the mountains, taking time to go on many hikes
We now would like to focus on travelling within our own country and get to know it in more depth.
House/Pet sitting would allow us to do that plus spend a bit of time in your community and really get to know it, while looking after your home and pets as if they were our own.
We have been married for 54 years, raised a son and daughter, and during those years have always owned our own home. We now live in a new 50+ retirement community, which allows us the freedom to be gone for periods of time without worrying about our own home.
Through the years we have had pets ranging from registered purebred shelties, a boarder collie, a pug and a rescue dog part terrier, cats, gerbils and a horse.
We are now the proud grandparents of two intelligent teenagers, grandparents and occasional sitters to two dogs (a golden lab and a rescue dog) and five cats.
We recognize that owners that use house-sitting services are primarily concerned with the welfare of their furry family members and we want to assure you that this will be our priority as well.
At the same having been home owners, we know how important it is that your home is well taken care of. Ed is quite the handy man and Trudy is a meticulous homemaker and gardener.
We would care for your pets and your home as if they were our own, so you can have peace of mind while vacationing. We are computer literate and use social media, so staying in touch while you are gone will be something we will be happy to do.
