36, Electrical & Instrumentation Technician
G'day and hi!
I'm a Dutch/Aussie explorer, especially after my recent 4th stint in Antarctica. I am a neat freak and very respectful of people's places and love animals. I strongly believe in leaving people/places better than how you found them, whether it's cleaner or just happier to have met someone. Your pets will be treated like my own.
I miss my parents' dog back home, so this is a great way for me to still see some puppers (and other animals)! This also allows me the flexibility to just work on my laptop and go through my latest Antarctic expedition photos and videos.
Friends have called me the dog whisperer in the past for the effect I've had on them. I've had dogs in the family all my life, have had my own over the years, have done some dog behavior training courses, and read a lot of books for the training of dogs. I've also worked with animals in two films.
Some fun random things about me. I was born in the Netherlands, moved with the family when I was 14 to Perth, Australia, have been based in both, Seattle, and Boston, and have done 4x 6 months stints in Antarctica. I'm here on a 2-year Canadian work visa to the country I've visited a dozen times.
I live an active healthy lifestyle, have traveled the world several times over, played sports at a national level, and spend a lot of time with my head in books.
I have a hard work ethic, am flexible, a problem solver and take ownership of whatever situation unfolds to make sure the best outcome happens, a reliable, tidy person who understands the importance of having someone you can trust to look after your pets and home.
