Franziska & Stephan

Hello, we are Franzi and Stephan, a couple from Germany who are currently doing an IEC work-and-travel year in Canada. We live near Munich in our home country. Stephan works as an application engineer and Franziska is a physiotherapist. We are both very active and enjoy hiking in the mountains, cycling and swimming . We love traveling around the world because it allows us to meet people and experience their cultures firsthand. During our trip through New Zealand and here in Canada, we have often used HelpX. We lived with different families and took on their routines. Many times, we were entrusted with taking care of their pets—feeding, grooming, playing with them, and ensuring they got regular exercise. Most of the time, we cared for dogs, cats, chickens, and horses. Keeping the house clean and looking after the garden are also often part of our tasks. We love having animals around us and look forward to new experiences in a new environment.
We want to do house sitting because we love discovering new places and helping people not to have to worry about their homes or pets while they are away. We enjoy looking after animals, doing chores and making sure everything is in order when the owners return. House sitting allows us to be responsible together while gaining new experiences.
