Marianne "Maja" & James

Well, hello there! :)
We are Maja (pronounced "Maya") and James.

We are a reliable married couple seeking experiences near water for contemplative writing. We've owned several homes, raised the kids (3 wonderful grown sons) and now it's our time to travel and explore while we decide where we'd like to eventually purchase and settle.

We are both writers and educators & love to learn new things. James is a former Olympic rower (Seoul 1988) and writer and enjoys the outdoors; he is currently developing a high performance course. Maja (a Harvard certified educator, 2018) will be writing her first book in the fall/winter 2023-2024; she loves daily walks, especially by the water. 

We are meticulous and careful and will treat your home as if it were our own. We have no pets, never smoke or vape and are quiet. We love being outdoors so a garden would be an asset but not necessary. An ideal home would have reliable internet, at least a queen sized bed and be close to water and/or nature. (In warmer climates, AC is a must.) 

Not only will we honour and respect your home, but we will add extra security as we spend most days at home researching and writing. 

We are super friendly and relatable and would welcome as much or little communication as would make you feel comfortable. :) Having trust and faith in the people taking care of your precious home makes any time away so much more enjoyable and rich and we know we would provide that peace of mind. We just rented (long-term) our beautiful investment home in Kelowna - we understand firsthand how important "quality people" are! :)
