Hi, I'm a freelance French translator and English localiser who works from 'home' (yes, even pre-pandemic! ). I have several years' experience petsitting and absolutely love it.

Now as travel has resumed, I'm keen to discover more of BC while bonding and enjoying the company of your adorable pets.

Working from home means that I can spend quality time with your fur babies and am there for on-demand cuddles/pats/walks. I like to keep fit (I ran several full marathons last year and plan to again this year), so I am always up for a walk around the block/local park or even a hike if my new 4-legged friend is full of energy.

I have experience giving subcutaneous injections, oral medicine, eye drops and creams to cats, dogs, horses, rabbits and even guinea pigs.

I also have a green thumb and will carefully look after your plants. I once worked as an interpreter for a prestigious floral school in the centre of Paris and during this time I picked up many good tips - especially for orchids. ;)

Sonia house-sat and took care of our two dogs for 4 weeks (29 August - 26 September).

I could not speak more highly of Sonia and her professionalism.

She looked after the dogs as if her own, taking them for haircuts, constant walks and even buying new balls for them to play with. The dogs weren't overly excited to see us on our return - testament to how spoilt they were with Sonia!

Furthermore, the house was more clean than when we left, and the garden had been well taken care of. An absolute delight to return to!

Sonia also responded straight away to messages whilst away - a great comfort and put our mind's at ease.

I could not recommend a better house-sitter, and hope that she is available the next time we go on holidays.

To whom it may concern,

Sonia house sat my home and cared for my cat for two weeks while I was away in Hawaii. I met with quite a few sitters before meeting with Sonia and none of them portrayed the warmth, kindness, and good-hearted nature that are shown immediately upon meeting her.

She is certainly an animal lover, and we had no concerns while leaving our precious cat in her hands. She stayed in touch through email while we were away and also sent me some photos, which was much appreciated.

Upon returning the unit was tidy and clean, and she even provided my kitty with a pot of cat-grass to munch on.

I would highly suggest having Sonia as a house/pet sitter. I will be calling her again when we need a sitter.

Sonia is 100% perfection.

You will not find a better person than Sonia to take care of your furry friend, house and garden. We have had the absolute pleasure of having Sonia take care of our 7 year old cat Murray for a number of years over multiple occasions. Sonia is more that just a housesitter, she is now a friend and an 'aunt' to our very much loved cat.

We actually think Murray knows when she is coming and we know he misses her when she leaves.

Regular updates of Murray and the house are given via video, photos and messages and we have come home to a very clean and tidy house and a happy non stressed cat.

Recently Murray has required some medication and a special diet and this has all been handled with ease.

My only reservation in recommending Sonia to you is Sonia will then become one of your most trusted and favourite friends which will make it hard for Murray to book in a visit!

Sonia was an amazing pet-sitter for Aarki, our greyhound! You could tell Sonia loved animals right from when we first met her; and animals adore Sonia - our Aarki does to this day.

Sonia was very attentive of Aarki's needs when she pet-sat and took Aarki for long and varied walks. We've always said Aarki was the fittest she's been when she was with Sonia; we kept Aarki too chubby, so Sonia helped us there (chuckle).

Everything that we had briefed Sonia on she did - on the quirky meals Aarki ate (Aarki was a difficult eater), on the cuddles she needed, on not leaving Aarki home alone for more that 4-5 hours at a time because Aarki was needy. Sonia truly took care of Aarki.

On the communications front, Sonia kept us informed about how Aarki was going, which was fab. We totally trusted Sonia with Aarki. So much so we have had Sonia back to pet-sit a few more times after.

Sonia also kept the home well for us whilst we were away... everything was tidy and in order, and plants watered. We couldn't ask for a better house guest and pet-sitter.
