I am a travel writer and photographer wanting to explore Canada. I have driven across our beautiful country on limited vacations, camping as I go. I have now moved from my Southern Ontario home and have enjoyed house sitting as a way to experience a variety of different areas. Previously, I had always travelled with my dog, Tessi, but she passed a few years ago. I’ve been finding it quite satisfying taking care of other people's cats and dogs while watching over their homes.
The dog in the first pictures are of my Tessi. I've added additional pictures of me with dogs I've taken care of: Nick in Nanaimo and Oddy and Cliffy in Calgary (see reviews).
I can also add that I've been a school bus driver and have therefore had all the prerequisite police background checks done.
Cheryl was amazingly accommodating and understanding. Due to a night-before health emergency in our family, we had to unfortunately cancel our travel plans and Cheryl's housesitting engagement. Cheryl rolled with the very disappointing, 12th hour news. We so hope that we the stars align so we can work with Cheryl again. Thanks Cheryl.
This was the second time that I had Cheryl. I cannot say enough good about her. When she is watching my dogs, I am worry free. Cheryl handles both dogs well and takes great care. She is respectful and communicates on a regular basis. I highly recommend her to anyone with or without pets.
Cheryl was awesome! She was great with my 4 dogs and took excellent care of them. She is kind, easy to talk to and she did send daily updates about the wellbeing of my darlings. It was a pleasure to know everything went well. I therefore can highly recommend Cheryl,
Cheryl was amazing. She followed instruction to a T and kept me posted on their adventures all the time. It was so wonderful seeing all the photos, knowing that they were happy and healthy at all times. I look forward to Cheryl coming back and watching my boys again in the near future. Cheryl was amazing. I got daily updates of my cat, who seemed very happy when I got back. She left the place spotless, and was always available if I had questions. She even watered my plants, which I had forgotten to request! Would definitely recommend Cheryl, and hope she's able to house sit for me again sometime.
We could not have been happier with the care and attention Cheryl gave our dog Nick whilst we were away for over 3 weeks. Regular updates and photos were so appreciated and Cheryl was so attentive to Nicks needs going above and beyond! He can be difficult at times but she took it all in her stride and formed a real bond with him. Cheryl was fantastic! Cats were happy, home was very clean. Cheryl is a very good communicator, I really appreciated the questions and check-ins and especially the pictures. I'd have her back anytime!
Cheryl was lovely to deal with and very great with communicating. Our two kitties were very happy and honestly I don't think they even realized that we were gone! You can tell Cheryl loves animals and keeps you posted on your trip of how they are doing, which was very nice to know.
Make sure the garden and potted plants are thriving when you get back - get a house sitter.
