I live in beautiful Saanichton BC with my husband in a 1000 sqft townhome by the ocean. I thought this was going to be my safe haven and final home until my adult stepson moved back in with us because he was struggling to make it on his own. Now I have no solitude. I have lost my space. I am retiring from the military after 23+ years, and I thought life was going to be so different in retirement. I thought I would be a snowbird, travelling around the world exploring different cultures. Alas, I must stick around until my husband and his son figure out their plan to success. Rather than waiting on them, I am hoping that HouseSittersCanada can provide me with an opportunity to get away, and provide a win-win situation for people looking for a reliable sitter. I do have a small 10 lbs Pekingese Service Dog that I would prefer to bring with me, but she can also stay home with my boys, if she’s not a good fit with your pets or your home. Living on Vancouver Island, I am able to meet ahead of time to solidify the trust and confidence of inviting a stranger into your home. All I’m looking for, is a quiet place to read a book, meditate, think, and study. Hiking local area trails with your pet, taking strolls on the beach, and cuddling with a quiet pet and a book.
