Enderby British Columbia

My home on acreage is located in a beautiful breathtaking rural setting just minutes from the town of Enderby. This property is 4 acres of lush paradise backing onto the Shushwap River. It is like living in your own private park. Serenity abounds.
My home is a split level with 4 bedrooms and an office. There is a full finished basement with a home gym and laundry room is located on the split level.
I love my home and keep it clean and well maintained.
I want you to feel comfortable, happy and enjoy your stay and lovingly take care of my home and pets.
There is plenty to do like hiking, fitness classes, tubing- river floats ,
Swimming, kayaking, rail trail walks
Hiking the Enderby Cliffs… this area is a well know tourist destination in the summer months

There are restaurants and gas stations in close proximity.
The town of Enderby has 2 grocery stores, 2 dentists, 2 pharmacies, and many other businesses offering everything you need without having to travel far. It is a short drive to town.
The stunning river offers peace and tranquillity for the soul and the opportunity to jump in for a refreshing dip on a hot day in crystal clear waters is tempting.
I have 2 beautiful sweet Donkeys that will require your attention. Big sister and little brother are highly intelligent and can also be a little mischievous. They are easy keepers however, they can get into things and require your watchful eye. They are loving and curious and will definitely check you out from head to toe.
Farm animal knowledge is a must as well as a calm positive energy will build trust and a strong bond.
Knowledge of Donkeys and their intelligence would be an asset.
Clean fresh water is essential and possibly feeding hay later in summer when pasture dries up. You will have to be able to halter them and have them ready for the farrier when he comes to trim them or my farrier will give a hand.
Donkeys like you to hang out with them. They give donkey hugs and kisses if they really like you!
They will also call out to you “Bray” when they see you , they love human company.
You will need to be watchful of their health and behaviour and know when to call a vet if required.
The acreage will require mowing and weed whacking and watering some trees and plants. Operation of a ridem’ mower and weed whacking tools are required and a must as Spring is growing time
Lawn care and landscaping must be maintained and should be something that you would enjoy doing on a regular schedule. If you don’t enjoy yard work then this house sit is not for you. Sorry.
Mowing will slow considerably in August and September when it is hot and dry. The donkeys pasture area takes up over half of the property so they take care of most of the mowing in there!
My 2 large breed dogs might
need to stay in last 2 weeks of sit.
Operating a generator or checking sump pumps is also required should the power go out.
