Norway Bay Quebec

The property is located in Western Quebec about one hour from Ottawa and not far (15 min drive) from the small town of Shawville Quebec where you can find a grocery store , SAQ, Canadian Tire , Giant Tiger , bakery and so on. The village I live in is predominantly a summer community, but there are many people living here year round as well. My property is about a three minute walk from the Ottawa river located on a quiet paved road.
It is private, but surrounded by other houses and cottages. This is definitely a country setting and would suit sitters who would enjoy a little break from the city, fresh air, big skies, trees, the sounds of nature + beautiful stars. If you enjoy walking this is a wonderful place for great country walks. English and French are spoken in the community although it is predominantly English speaking. The home is simple cozy and comfortable. It is heated by electricity and I have a wood stove and lots of wood. I have one orange cat, whose name is Morris. He is an easy going, friendly indoor/outdoor cat. I also have a 13 year old beagle but she will be on this little trip with me so it is just the cat at my place. The sitter would need their own vehicle to get here. I am one hour from Ottawa and 40 minutes from Renfrew. If there is snow then you would need to shovel front steps and walkway . I have hired someone to plow the drive as needed .
