Hello! I am looking for a housesitter to look after my happy-go-lucky 4 year old Standard Poodle, Fiain. I live in a beautiful home surrounded by woods, with walking paths in the forest around my home, as well as along the nearby oceanfront. I am located across the street from beautiful St. Margaret's Bay, only 10 minutes from the rugged and iconic village of Peggys Cove. The house has an infrared sauna which you are welcome to use. Fiain loves his twice daily walks and playing fetch. My home is clean and comfortable with lots of big windows from which to watch the sunset and bask in the quiet of the natural environment surrounding the house. I have a woodstove, so you can cozy up in front of the woodstove on a snowy winter's evening, a cool Fall evening, or a wet Spring day. I have a 2.5 acre property, which includes a creek for a very invigorating dip if you are into cold dipping (maybe after the sauna?), and a screened-in gazebo beside the creek to sit in and read or write or just listen to the rushing water. Fiain is an exceptionally good dog who is great off leash, comes when called, is cuddly and loving, and needs no special care except to be loved, fed and walked.

Housesitting Fiain for Lesley was an incredible experience. Fiain, with his childlike innocence and sweet disposition, was a joy to care for—whether he was in trail-companion mode or cuddling on the couch. - Fiain is a very pleasant, easy-going dog. He loves to play and is very friendly. He listens and obeys very well. We spent over 2 weeks with Fiain. Lesley is a wonderful person. She took the time to write up a list of information we may have needed while she was away and showed us all around her beautiful house and yard and took us through one of the trails that leads out of the back of her yard. That trail connects to the campground next door in one direction and goes on for miles in the other. Lesley left a list of friends and neighbours to contact if we needed any help. Lesley lives in a beautiful coastal area of Nova Scotia and my stay there was wonderful (with the exception of a wildfire happening not too far away - a rare occurrence.) Lesley was vey welcoming, well organized, and helpful, keeping in regular contact during her travels. Her dog Fiain is highly intelligent and affectionate.
