Looking for a house / cat-sitter for one week March 1 - 8, 2025, when we will be traveling outside of the country.
Our cat Luna is is a 4 year old indoor calico who is active and independent, she is shy around new people and hates to travel but also hates to be alone. She is not an affectionate girl, unless it’s of her choosing, and is happiest when people are nearby but leave her to do her thing.
Though we love dogs, Luna does not, so we do not permit other pets during your stay. Luna gets fed twice a day, litter box scooped once a day, and she really just needs some company and maybe a game of fetch here and there.
Our family home is a very clean, single family house, with a nice gated front and backyard, four stories of living space, with four bedrooms, two baths. We are in a great area, steps from College Street restaurants and shops, Dufferin Mall and Dufferin Grove Park. We are near the subway, College and Dundas streetcars, plus nice walks in every direction - Queen St., Bloor St. Roncesvailles and Highpark are all accessible by foot if you're up for it.
We do have yards and several houseplants that may require some simple care while we are away. Shovelling and clearing snow (weather depending), plus water one or two houseplants is really all there is to it. We will ask that you put out the garbage cans on Thursday night for collection the next day and bring in the mail daily.
I supply sitters with a very comprehensive guide, contact info for emergencies, and we are always available for questions and love keeping in touch via text.
Ideally we would love to connect with someone who can get to know us, Luna and our home and come stay here regularly, We travel frequently for weeks and weekends at cottages, especially in the warmer months.
Our preference is for a single person to stay because Luna is anxious around new people and we feel it will be less stress for her this way.

Nothing but great things to say about housesitting for Mia! Her cat, Luna, is shy at first but a real sweetheart once she gets comfortable with you. She is a very independent cat, easy to take care of, and absolutely adorable!
Mia’s house is also lovely and incredibly comfortable. It’s very clean and well equipped with anything you might need. I felt right at home. The location is great too—lots of cute shops and parks nearby. I really enjoyed exploring the area.
