We need a house sitter

National Capital - Ottawa

We live in Hunt Club in Ottawa in a house with a large fenced yard with great neighbours, in a nice neighbourhood, that has easy access to everything Ottawa has to enjoy.
Our 12 year old dog, Nika, (see pictures) is an easy dog to care for. She likes to walk unleashed in the dog park (Conroy Pit) and has the back yard to play in. She's not great walking on leash in unfamiliar areas, as she gets anxious.
She's used to having her people around during the day and at night, but is fine being left alone for up to 5-6 hours.
There are some indoor plants that need watering and in summer, a couple outside as well. If you're a gardener, you will have lots to enjoy. If it's winter, just the walkway might need to be shovelled, as our neighbour kindly clears the driveway.

We count it as one of those lucky days when we connected with Janet and Ted about looking after their sweet Nika. They invited us to their house in advance to meet each other and Nika so that we were sure it was a good fit for everyone. It ended up that our 22 year old son, Garrett, was the one available and eager to spend time with Nika. Janet and Ted kindly invited Garrett to make himself comfortable in their lovely home.
