Nelson British Columbia

Hello from the beautiful Kootaneys in BC! We are 20 km from Nelson along the north shore. Our home is lakefront and near to many hiking, biking and skiing areas. We have an 18 year old but still spunky dog Brian who spends much of his day snoozing and still loves his walks in the park with people to keep him company. With his age, we have vet care organized and our next door neighbours will assist with any decisions in our absence, but we’d need carers that are comfortable dealing with old pups. The best match is someone who is only away from Brian for half days max as he can get anxious when alone for too long. He loves to sleep in the office beside you if you are working remotely (we do have excellent fibre internet and strong wifi to the beach 😉).

Dates are to be confirmed and we would like to spend a couple days orienting the home/pet sitter before we leave. Minimal plant care will be required as I’ll likely have a table of seedlings to water weekly. The neighbour would mow the lawn if necessary.

Depending on the snowpack, you may catch the end of the Nordic and downhill skiing season but can also enjoy kayaking, biking and hiking in the spring at our lower elevation. Nelson and Kaslo are very unique historic towns with lots of amenities and activities.
