Welcome to Rabbitbrush Urban Farm. We are located in downtown Kamloops, BC, within a 20 min walk from our downtown core, groceries, shopping and events and music. I have 3 cats, 5 chickens and two outdoor rabbits, as well as 3 bee hives. They are all relatively low maintenance but require daily feeding and care. Its a great spot for someone to work remotely, and enjoy Kamloops and the surrounding area. In the winter, its a great spot to base yourself for skiing at Sun Peaks (about a 40 Min drive from here). Rabbitbrush is also located adjacent to Peterson Creek Park which has many kilometres of nature trails and lots to explore, including waterfalls, caves, and beautiful ponderosa pine and grassland ecosystems.

The tasks involved in housesitting here include feeding the cats twice per day, and the rabbits, once per day and chickens a few times a week. There is watering of the inside potted plants.

Meeting Bonnie was a wonderful experience, she is such a warm and generous person! Her small house offers a beautiful view on the city and mountains and taking care of all the animals is the easiest task I have seen yet. She really put a lot of efforts into creating installations and systems that require minimal interventions. The cats are free to come in and out at will, are very independant, but super friendly and easy going. It shows that they are treated with a lot of love!
