Sooke British Columbia

We are looking for a house- and petsitter for our aging cat Mieze and young dog Charlie. Charlie is a neutered shepherd cross who needs at least one hour of walking every day. He has his quirks and is very loving. Our cat is sweet and getting old. She needs medication but takes it happily in a pill pocket. We live in a non-sm0king 4-bedroom home in beautiful Sooke, Vancouver Island, Canada. Sooke is a small seaside community on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, located on the beautiful lands of the T'Sou-ke Nation of the Coast Salish peoples. It can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half in commuting traffic to get back or forth to Victoria. We live in a suburban part of town in a central location. Groceries, neighbourhood walking trails, gym, recreation centre and the next bus stop are all within walking distance (approximately 2 km or 1.25 miles). The home has a small, fenced yard and is located in a quiet family neighbourhood. I have high speed internet for anyone working online. Sooke offers fantastic opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming (and surfing in Jordan River).
It would be very helpful if I could introduce you to the dog in the morning of or the evening before our departure.
