We had a wonderful time at Laurie and Mark's home. Winter is especially beautiful in Young's Point; the lake view, the sunsets, and the wildlife are amazing. The binoculars by the window were in use every day as trumpeter swans visited along with mallard ducks, and even a huge eagle landed briefly on the ice before flying away. Looking after Bijou, a Coton de Tulear, was a joy; taking her on walks helped us see even more of this beautiful winter wonderland. We really became attached to Bijou ... The binoculars by the window were in use every day as trumpeter swans visited along with mallard ducks, and even a huge eagle landed briefly on the ice before flying away. Looking after Bijou, a Coton de Tulear, was a joy; taking her on walks helped us see even more of this beautiful winter wonderland. We really became attached to Bijou and miss her already. Laurie sent us amazing pictures of their travels. The home is spacious and beautifully decorated with everything we could have desired in comfort. I loved cooking in the well-appointed kitchen. We enjoyed evenings relaxing by the fireplace or watching a movie.

She loves being stroked and petted. We miss her already! Laurie and Mark are considerate and gracious hosts. It was easy to communicate with them from the start, and we feel we have made new lifelong friends. We are looking forward to housesitting for them again in January 2024.

Laurie & Mark are 2 of the kindest, most organized and friendliest people I have ever met! Bijou is a perfect little girl, so sweet and smart and very well behaved I love every minute being with her and in their gorgeous waterfront home!
