We are looking for a house sitter to stay in our home and care for our two cats while we travel abroad for 6 weeks this spring. We feel the house sitting route is the best choice to care for our cats while we are away as they love personal attention and are used to having someone in the home all day (I work from home). Marty is 13 and is a bit of a scaredy cat and can be skittish at times however, he does like to cuddle once he is comfortable with you. Marty is allergic to conventional cat foods so is on a special duck-based diet that is working well. Jimmy is 5 and very affectionate and loving. He loves his tummy rubbed and often sleeps on the bed with us. His special talent is occasionally pooping on the basement floor. Our cats love to roam outside in the backyard, even through winter (if there is not too much snow) and have access through a cat door. We like for them to have access everyday, but do not let them outside at night, or when we are not home. They do not leave the yard as long as the gate remains closed. As for our home, we have a two-story, two-bedroom, 1 office home that is well suited for a single person or a couple. We have a king size bed and tv in the master bedroom. A spare bedroom, bathroom with tub, and office complete the upstairs. The main floor has recently been upgraded with maple countertops and gas stove with double oven. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, Vitamix, Soda Stream, and Nespresso coffee machine. There is a 1/2 bath on the main floor. We have a 65" smart TV and L-shaped leather couch. Outside there is a new Napoleon Gas BBQ, and 5-person hot tub. There is an attached double car garage and large driveway. We can make a car available if needed. The basement has laundry, deep freeze, rec room with dart board, and bathroom with walk-in shower.
