Come stay in our 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom place minutes to the ocean and several hiking and biking trails! Our two cats (one needs a pill) and a three-year old golden lab would love the company, we just need someone to love them back. If you need to do some work while here, we also have a home office set up.
Sooke's town motto is "Where the Rainforest Meets the Sea" and it does not disappoint! There are three brewerys, two grocery stores, a golf course, cafes and bakeries all close by.
We are 30 minutes from East Sooke Park and Juan de Fuca Provincial Park which features 47 km of wildrness and several pristine beaches like China Beach, Mystic Beach, Sombrio Beach and Botanical Beach.
Want to check out Victoria for the day? We are a 45-minute scenic drive from the downtown core.
This was my second house-sit in Sooke and first sit for Jeff and Tamara. Poppy the dog is absolutely adorable and loves giving and receiving affection (I would recommend keeping her on-leash on walks). The two cats were very easy to look after. The house is lovely, and Sooke is great for exploring the outdoors with lots of hiking nearby. Highly recommended!
Such a delightful house sit. The house is gorgeous, Poppy the dog is sweet and gentle, the two cats are calm and were eating well. Jeff and Tamara were welcoming and responsive. Would happily come back again!
Our housesitting experience at Jeff and Tamara's home was fantastic! Poppy, their joyful Labrador, brought so much energy to the house. Poppy adores the water, and she absolutely relished playing with us, as well as joining us for hikes. While Fitz was initially shy, he quickly warmed up to us for cuddles, and Persephone was a breeze to care for, despite her medication needs. I sat for for this lovely couple for two weeks and it was a really great experience...their three pets are precious and very easy to carry for. Their home is beautiful with a setting that provides easy access to all kinds of fabulous trails and swimming sites.
I highly recommend them and if you have an opportunity to sit for this family you should do so. Great experience all around.
Staying at Jeff and Tamara place have been amazing. It was a last minute trip, but somehow happened. Their pets are very charming so has the house. You will fall in love with Poppy the dog, she is very affectionnate. All the accomodations were there. Had access to an office space. Beautfull and peacefull neighborhood.
