Hello Home & Pet Owners,
We are a retired couple (9+ years), travelling the world and home & pet sitting along the way. We enjoy our travel lifestyle and also love to settle in and care for others' pets and homes from time to time. Healthy, active non-smokers, we are also big animal lovers and welcome the opportunity to give our love & attention to pets.
We delight in time in the outdoors - hiking, dog walking, cycling and exploring. We even spent a 6 week period in winter shovelling snow at a house sit in small town Quebec while we cared for the homeowner's pup (as well as a past winter in Nanaimo where we had snow for weeks, unusually).

A few of our sitting experiences: 13 Rescue pets (5 dogs, 8 cats) in the Costa Rican jungle; 2 separate disabled dogs who used wheelchairs; an Irish peahen who hatched a chick while we cared for her, just to name a few of our almost 60 home & pet sits. We completed a long sit with 2 cats in Nanaimo in March 2022, and have completed sits on Vancouver Island, Powell River, Europe, Ireland & UK, Panama, Arizona and Baja, Mexico.
We particularly love the exchange aspect to home and pet sitting arrangements: that we can offer top care for your home & pets in exchange for a resting spot for a time, is such a win-win. As well, we appreciate the human connection and have made long term friendships through this experience, both with pets and their owners. Not the same experience as renting a hotel room or even AirBNB accommodation, that is for sure!
We have recently settled in Comox, Vancouver Island, BC., a beautiful town with ample access to the outdoors and nature in our location. We still sit through various online platforms, and often we exchange accommodation for sitting duties, though pet love is a great benefit of sitting too!
We have been long term home and pet owners during our working years, and fully understand the responsibility required in the maintenance of a home. Our experience includes pool, home and yard care, as well as pet care. We view pets as family members, to be cared for as such. We are clean, reliable home and pet caregivers and will always give yours excellence in care. With us caring for your home and pets, you will travel with peace of mind and return to find both in top notch condition.
Though my partner, Aaron, and I enjoy exploring every part of the world that we encounter, when sitting your pets and home - they will always be our priority. We will treat your home, pets and garden with the same care and diligence as if it is our own.

Kath and Aaron stayed in our home over Christmas 2024 with our two cats. We first met over WhatsApp and immediately felt comfortable with having them look after our pets.. Kath and Aaron were extremely trustworthy, responsible and caring. Furthermore, the communication with us was excellent; we received many pictures and videos of Arthur and Georgy. They took excellent care of our cats and provided lots of stimulation through playing with them. Arthur liked them so much that he slept "on" them. ... We were away for a few months overseas and Kath and Aaron looked after our dog, Maggie, and our house with great care. They communicated frequently keeping us up to date with the house and dog ventures. We came back to clean and tidy house and a happy dog. We would not hesitate to have them sit for us again and I know Maggie would be happy to see them as well. Highly recommend to anyone for their housesit.

Kath and Aaron took very good care of our cat, dog, garden and house for four weeks. They kept us updated with photos and asked questions when there were gaps in our instructions. It was wonderful to return to a clean house, well maintained garden and a beautiful vase of fresh cut flowers.
We would highly recommend Kath and Aaron as housesitters, they are kind, considerate and trustworthy.

Kath and Aaron were kind and warm to our two dogs.
On their last morning at our home, on the deck having tea, Topo lay at Aaron's feet and gently placed her head on his foot, an indication of the trust she felt towards him. He was thrilled and so were we! I enjoyed watching the TLC Kath meted out to our dogs. They're a terrific duo and we hope they'll be back!

Kath and Aaron took care of my cat for two weeks and I couldn't be happier. They kept me updated of how my cat was doing which gave me peace of mind. At my return I found the house and garden well taken care of. I would recommend Kath and Aaron as housesitters, they are kind, responsible and trustworthy.

The instructions we left were followed exactly, and they left everything in excellent order. They took great care of our two dogs, keeping us informed of their health and well-being, particularly as one contracted an allergic and breathing irritation. To make matters worse, my snow shoveler never turned up. However, they never complained and got on with dressing up warmly and shoveling.
When I came back after 6 weeks in Mexico, the house was spotless, the fridge full and Kath had even cooked a delicious curry for me. My dog Cajou 'velcroed' himself ...
