HI there! We are Marjolaine and Joseph, originally from Montreal but currently travelling to different places around the world while working remotely.

We are quiet, reliable, responsible, non-smoking people. We also love animals and are keen to take care of your pets.

MJ has been house/pet sitting since 2017: I started when I was living in New Zealand; really enjoyed my first few sits and just kept doing it for most of the time I was there. It was a great way for me to experience different parts of Auckland and Wellington. I then decided to try my luck back home in Canada during the pandemic - I was living with a flatmate at the time, and even though we got along super well, the strict lockdowns made me yearn to see something other than my own 4 walls. I ended up doing a few housesits in Montréal, where I was living at the time, and have done a couple others by myself in different parts of Canada since then.

We have been housesitting together internationally since December 2022. Our most recent reviews are for sits in Asia and Europe, and we'll happily share the link to our international sitters profile upon request :)

We have experience with all kinds of dogs and cats.

We are currently looking for housesits in Montreal and Quebec City for December 2023, as we will be back home to visit friends and family.

We loved having Marjolaine again to look after our apartment and our kitty Rome! Marjolaine was awesome - she kept us updated almost daily with pictures of Rome, and caring for him attentively. She also collected our many packages, kept our plants in good health and left our apartment clean and tidy (fresh sheets for us to come back to!). Marjolaine was an excellent sitter. She was easy to communate with and very respectful of my house. She had a good reputation on paper, with all those good reviews. I was already confident about letting her stay at my place. She still managed to surpass the expectations and went the extra mile to make sure my cats and house were well taken cared of. When I returned, the house was spotless and my cats were very relaxed. I highly recommend her!

Marjolaine cared for our house and cats as we would ourselves. The house was clean and tidy upon arrival home. She collected mail, dealt with any issues and kept in touch regularly. We would have her back to house sit again anytime in the future. Thank you Marjolaine.

Marjolaine was a great house sitter for our cat and apartment. We felt happy with her looking after everything whilst we were away. She kept us updated with photos of our cat who had a nice time and was super flexible with our evolving travel plans (covid!). The apartment was exactly as we had left it, except the plants had grown :). Would highly recommend Marjolaine as a house sitter and are looking forward hopefully later this year to have her round again!

We really appreciated Marjolaine's house sitting. She bonded well with our elderly cat, kept our garden well watered throughout a very hot and dry 3 weeks, promptly replied to any text we sent seeking updates and our home was left neat, clean and tidy.

Marjolaine was generally a really great house sitter, however a few of our indoor and outdoor plants were forgotten over the 2 weeks and were very dry on our return. She did look after the house and our cat well which is the main thing though.

Marjolaine was fantastic. My cat who is not always that sociable was really relaxed with Marjolaine and in great shape when I got home. Marjolaine took excellent care of my place, even changing the sheets before she left which she didn't have to do! I'd absolutely recommend Marjolaine to house sit.

No rating Marjolaine did a wonderful job of looking after our house and, most importantly, our beloved cat, who was happy and healthy when we got home. Marjolaine hit it off with our cat immediately when they first met, which is quite unusual as our cat is shy with strangers. Our unit was also extremely clean and well looked after when we got home. Marjolaine is very reliable and went out of her way to be helpful, and we recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a pet-sitter.
