** A Bit About Me **

Hello! I'm Anna-Maria, and I'm at the start of my travel journey. I departed from my hometown in May 2023, and so far have visited Hawaii, Arizona, Wyoming, Montana, Ontario, and Vermont (with THS house sits in Mesa, Tucson, Flagstaff, Cody, Billings, Hawkesbury, and Williston)! I'm back in Quebec for a bit, but so excited to keep discovering everything this world has to offer, and caring for incredible fur friends along the way!

Up until last year, I was a public servant working for the Government of Canada. Until it hit me... there was an entire world out there, and I hadn't seen any of it! I've now stepped into the role of Lightworker, and offering online energy work and metaphysical services to those in need while I travel around - and I couldn't be more grateful for all the opportunities I've been afforded that are allowing me these experiences.

I love reading, studying, and learning new things, meeting new people, adventuring, and exploring nature! And as of recently, I've been getting better acquainted with the lost love of creating - everything from drawing and writing to dancing, singing, and song-writing!

A few extras about me: I don't drink, smoke, or do any drugs. I am taking time right now to explore my inner self, and looking for a quiet space with some furry friends to meditate, journal, and do website design, with a weekly or so excursion to surrounding areas. I am quiet, clean, and take responsibility very seriously.

** Why I Love House and Pet Sitting **

I love house and pet sitting because it offers me the incredible opportunity to travel and explore new areas, while meeting new and interesting people and finding more pets to cuddle and love! And, in turn, I am able to support others while *they* travel and explore new areas! And I like to think I'm a cool human for animals to hang out with too, so it's a win for everyone involved! <3

** My Experience **

For over 15 years, I have been jumping in to help friends, family, neighbours, and even acquaintances when the need arose for child, pet, and home care. Now that I've started offering to sit over THS, I've realized it's no different. I treat all spaces as if they were my own, support homeowners from afar when unexpected things come up (as they do!), and create a safe and loving space for the little beings in my care.

*Fur friends: I love animals, and enjoy being in their company. I believe I have a rather calming presence and that animals enjoy my company as well. I love to keep to the schedules that pets are used to, and quite good at following homeowner guidance as well as vet direction for any pets that require medication or particular complex geriatric care. In fact, I have experience with both older dogs and cats, that I've acquired during both short and long-term sits, where more love and hands-on attention was required around food and medication time.

*Plants and gardens: In recent years, I've discovered I've got a green thumb! I also get a lot of enjoyment out of connecting with plant life and making sure every little plant is getting the unique care it requires to grow and thrive. During my two-month sit in Tucson, I tended to a large and extensive garden with tons of plants I'd never cared for before. Using my homeowners' detailed instruction, and with the help of the internet (when they were hiking out of cell range for three weeks), I was able to keep a Sonoran desert garden lush and vibrant throughout the my summer stay.

*Houses: I am an experienced homeowner, and not afraid of taking care of things that may come up during a sit. Before beginning my travels, I bought a piece of land in Lachute, Quebec and had a little bungalow built. Her name Flo, and I kept her well-maintained and in immaculate condition. I appreciate being in clean spaces, and always make sure that the homes in my care are kept sparkling clean!
