Hello! I have been living in Montreal for the last 20 years and with my kids out of the house, I sold my home 5 years ago and I now manage a lodge for the summer season (6 months) in Wawa, On on Lake Superior and in the winter I housesit and travel. I love nature!
I mostly been asked by friends to housesits, pet-sits, teen-sit :) but can ask them for references.

I travel alone and am quiet, kind . I love to build community where I stay for longer periods of time. (I mostly end up teaching yoga somewhere:) )

Valerie was a wonderfully kind caretaker for our almost 20 year old cat, for 19 days. He had advanced kidney disease and did well on medication but as happens, he quickly and unexpectedly declined and she handled this brilliantly and with empathy and kindness. We were so grateful to Valerie for being there every night for our cat and for keeping us informed throughout our time away. I cannot say enough how much I highly recommend Valerie. Valerie is an absolutely wonderful person, and I felt lucky to have found her. My dog had a great time with her, going on adventures, hikes, car rides, pet store visits and what not - all of which was documented with cute pictures. It was more like a staycation. Valerie was very responsible, empathic and communicative throughout, even extending her stay when I had to delay my return flight. The house was well cared for and clean. Valerie is very reliable, attentive and conscientious. She is a very nice person and we were very happy to share our home with her. Her communication was excellent and she worked well with our neighbors to solve a neighborhood problem. When we came back home she had even prepared a meal that was waiting for us.
