My animals are my family and my little acreage is full of them! From my dozen rare-breed Ossabaw hogs, through my beloved geese and chantecler chickens, to my four snuggle-demanding cats and the three livestock guardian dogs who keep us all safe my home is a significant chore commitment rewarded with many furry snuggles whenever you wish. My area is close to a little town with amenities, but more spectacularly near lakes and trails full of peace and beauty at all times of year. Transportation is definitely required in case of emergencies, I'm about 8 minutes/8km out of town, though I will leave everything fully stocked. My garden doesn't go in until June so no plant care is required.
Daily rhythms include cat feeding twice a day, litter boxes once a day, dog feeding once a day, and feeding and watering birds and pigs once a day. No mucking out is required, though there will be an abundance of eggs at that time of year. I would like you to come a full day or three early, as agreed upon, to make friends with my one person-cautious dog and to go through where everything is.
The guest room has a door, so cat visitors at night are optional.
