Nelson British Columbia

Hello! We are taking a vacation to Alaska and are looking for someone to take care of our cat and home in Nelson BC. We have a 3 bed/2.5bath home in city limits, 25minutes walk to town and 5minute drive from the lake.

Two bedrooms have queen beds and the other bedroom is set up as an office with a futon. We have a small fenced yard and garage which you are welcome to use to store bikes etc. during your stay.

Our house has central air conditioning, forced air heat and hepa filters for the summer in case of smoke.

Suede, our black cat, is very affectionate and friendly and does not demand much. He loves to be outside a bit each day so we are looking for a house sitter that can be around to let him outside in the mornings for an hour or two and again in the afternoon (or as much as you are willing!). If he is outside every day, he won't need his litter cleaned out as he prefers to poop outside. He has a can of wet food once a day at dinner time, but his water and crunchies are in automatic feeders.

He will happily sit at the end of your bed overnight if you would like to, but he is also happy sleeping in his basket. He is strictly not allowed out overnight/after 5pm or before sunrise due to large predators in the area as we live close to the forest.

Aside from that, we have a few indoor plants we’d appreciate being watered!
